Are you craving something warm and delicious? Here is the recipe for a hot herbal tea with milk. It is prepared in the form of a latte, but if you don't have a way to froth the milk, you can simply make it with hot milk. The important thing is to make a Rooibos concentrate strong enough so that when mixed with the milk its flavor is not lost.
You can decorate the jar with caramel, chocolate, or add some liquor like Frangelico, Kahlúa, or Baileys.
Rooibos Latte
(12 oz jar)
Ingredients:
2 tbsp Rooibos EURO TEA
3 oz. Hot water
8 oz. Foamed milk
Natural or flavored syrup (optional)
Preparation:
1.- Prepare the Rooibos in the water, infuse for 3 to 5 minutes.
2.- Froth the milk and pour into a jar.
3.- Add the syrup or liquor.
4.- Carefully pour the Rooibos (strain it) into the foamed milk (you can do this around the edge of the jar).
The infusion will separate from the milk (the same way it does when using coffee), giving the appearance of an orange cappuccino.
Grades:
It can be made with any of our Rooibos, both pure and flavoured.
I especially recommend you try these flavors:
Rooibos Chai , you can add a splash of milk at the bottom.
Rooibos Tiramisu with Kahlúa.
Rooibos Caramel Cream with Baileys.
