Your Ideal Tea

On many occasions I have been asked what is the best tea? This is not an easy question to answer, why? It is simply because there is no “The best tea”, just as there is no best wine or best food.

Circumstances, your tastes, your budget and your needs are what will make a certain tea the best for you, and this is constantly changing. Let me explain and suggest some options that EURO TE has for you.

If I'm feeling a little down or need a little indulgence, maybe on a diet and need something sweet to feel better, I'd love a chocolate or caramel flavoured Tea or Tisane, and maybe with a splash of milk such as: Divine Temptation, Choco Mint, Exotic Cinnamon, Bee on Hawaii, Zurich, Rooibos Caramel Cream or Rooibos Choco Praline.

If it's cold and I feel like I'm getting the flu, the best thing for me would be a hot tea or herbal tea, perhaps containing some expectorant herb or a fruit rich in vitamin C, such as: Fireplace, Rooibos Strudel, Rooibos Chai, Pure Energy, Goji Berry, Guava Punch or Honeybee.

If it's hot and I want something refreshing to quench my thirst, the best thing would be to drink unsweetened green tea or perhaps with some added fruity or tropical flavor, such as: Verde Ate de Membrillo, Sencha Limón, Teallennium or Carnaval.

If I have eaten a lot and need to speed up digestion, or I have drank alcohol and I don't want to get a hangover (who would?), I need to drink Pu erh (red tea) in any of its flavors: Pu erh Mint, Pu erh Lemon, Pu erh Tropic, Pu erh Citrus, Pu erh Chai, etc.

If I am tired, stressed and need to relax, the Tea of my choice will be one that contains some calming element such as lavender, or a Tisane that does not contain caffeine such as: Golden Lavender Tea, Chamomile Lavender Herbal Tisane or Relax Herbal Tisane.

If I want to promote my general health, take in lots of antioxidants and improve my immune system, there is nothing better than a white tea in any of its flavors: Provence Pear, Thai Coconut, Orchid Peach, Honey Melon, etc.

If I want to meditate or spend a pleasant moment full of aromas and peace, the best thing to do is to drink an ulong tea, and if I can make it in the Chinese way (Gong fu cha), even better! All EURO TE ulong teas are of the best quality and have a special mystery.

If I am going to accompany my meal with a delicious tea, I have to analyze what I will eat to see which tea will highlight the flavors of that dish without being overpowered, and that both the tea and the food shine and complement each other. To do this, I will have to consult a pairing guide that tells me the aromatic profile of each tea and thus discover which one would best combine with my dish. Some examples of pairings are:

  • Mexican Food (Spicy) - Assam Black Tea
  • Light fish - Sencha green tea
  • Chicken stews- Bi lo chun green tea
  • Chocolate Desserts- Darjeeling Black Tea
  • Roasted or roasted - Genmaicha green tea, Pu erh tea or Red tea
  • Corn Stews - Long Jing Green Tea
  • Crystallized or dried fruit desserts - Huang jin gui ulong tea
  • Cream Desserts- Oriental Spice Black Tea
  • Mature cheeses - Ceylon black tea
