Olivia Medina is the first Mexican Tea Master. Since 1996, she has been the General Director and founding partner of Comercializadora Sueca de México SA de CV, known by the EURO TE brand. Her company, which today has more than 50 employees, is dedicated to connecting the world of Tea with the senses of each person, bringing more than 150 varieties of Teas and Tisanes to Mexico.
She started her business as a pioneer in bringing this product to Mexico, importing 200 kilos of Tea (40 flavors), now almost 20 years later and thanks to the great acceptance of the Mexican public, EURO TE brings more than 50 tons of Tea per year, which translates into approximately 15 million cups of Tea.
Backed by years of study and being involved in the selection, purchase of raw materials and processes of this delicate product, Olivia is in charge of designing, choosing and creating each of the EURO TE blends, considering the specific tastes of the Mexican palate. She also complements the presence of her brand in the market with high-quality accessories and gifts for the enjoyment of Tea.

His experience allowed him to write the first book about tea in Latin America, published by Editorial Porrúa in 2011: “The Fascinating World of Tea” . This is the only publication in which the suggested pairings for drinking and eating with tea include Latin dishes and more specifically dishes from Mexican cuisine such as purslane or tamales de mole.

Olivia knows that EURO TE's most important social contribution lies in its ability to promote the culture of tea and its consumption among the Mexican population. For this reason, she has set herself the mission of teaching anyone who is interested how to prepare, enjoy, and learn about the history of tea and its various uses. This objective has led her to design and teach courses, workshops, tastings, and conferences in a multitude of settings (schools, expos, fairs, bazaars, etc.), as well as to create innovative dishes and drinks based on teas and herbal teas that demonstrate the versatility of these products, which, in addition to being delicious, have many health benefits.
Aware of the need to continue evolving and following Victoria 147 's recommendation, Olivia decided to completely renew the image of her brand in 2015 by changing its packaging and logo, which now includes her signature as Olivia Medina (Tea Master) , which highlights the fact that the company was started by a businesswoman with full knowledge of the world of tea. As part of this evolution, she also launched an online store and a blog, seeking to bring EURO TE consumers one step closer to the world and secrets of this ancient drink.

Currently, EURO TE has distributors in 14 states of the country and serves more than 5 thousand businesses, offering its products in prestigious department stores such as Liverpool and Palacio de Hierro, but mainly to cafes or restaurants that add teas and herbal teas to their menus. In addition, it offers in its Tea Bar, located in San Miguel de Allende (Dôce18 Concept House), a wide variety of drinks made from white tea, green tea, ulong tea, black tea, pu erh tea, herbal teas and fruit teas.

Olivia is a graduate of ESDAI (Unversidad Panamericana) and is certified by the Specialty Tea Institute, which is part of the Tea Association of the USA. She was named by Expansión magazine in October 2008 as one of the “Entrepreneurial Women of Mexico” and by Forbes Mexico in 2014 as one of the “30 Promising Businesses in Mexico.”
