During the month of March EURO TE joins the great work carried out by the
Maximiliano María Kolbe Association donating part of the profits from sales of our Online Store to support the 63 women residents of the 2 homes of this Association.
The Maximiliano María Kolbe IAP Association is a private, non-profit care institution located in the city of Querétaro that belongs to the Faustino Llamas Homes group. It was founded in 2010 by Dr. Faustino Llamas Ibarra. Its mission is to provide comprehensive care to women with intellectual disabilities and psychiatric disorders who are at risk or are homeless, developing their physical, intellectual and spiritual capacities to the maximum so that they can enjoy a dignified, happy and full life, making them feel at home and in a family for the rest of their lives.
They arrive at the homes of this Association mainly through the State DIF and the State Attorney General's Office, after they were abandoned or their parents lost custody due to neglect of care, mistreatment, physical, sexual or psychological abuse. In some cases, not even the origin, name, age or background that led them to the streets is known. They are provided with housing, food, clothing and sustenance. They receive psychological attention, physical therapies, medications and the psychiatric treatment they require. The education and care of the girls is in the hands of a group of nuns from the order Daughters of Jesus the Good Shepherd.
The Association's commitments are:
- Provide them with dignified treatment and comprehensive care throughout their lives.
- Educate and develop their talents.
- Monitor and comply with the legal status of each of them.
- Be a self-sustaining home.
- Contribute to society by reducing public health and safety risks.
- Honesty and integrity in the application of resources and support.
