Ingredients:
Syrup:
8 oz. Water 1
1 Tbsp. Sugar
2 tbsp. Hanami White Tea EURO TEA
Drink:
3 tbsp. Cooked tapioca
3 tbsp. Hanami White Tea EURO TEA
3 oz. Water 2
2 tbsp. Hanami syrup
Ice to taste
1/2 cup rice milk
Preparation:
1. Syrup: Put 1 cup of water, sugar and Hanami (1) in a pot and leave it on the stove for 10 minutes or until it has the desired thickness. Remove from heat, strain and let cool covered in the refrigerator.
2. Cook the tapioca and let it rest in the Hanami syrup.
3. Prepare the Hanami (2) in water 2 (80°C), infuse for 4 minutes, strain and set aside.
4. Put the tapioca, syrup, ice, rice milk in the bottom of a glass and fill with the tea.
Tea Master Tip.
"Bobba Tea" or "bubble tea" is a Taiwanese drink that became popular in the 80's, the intention was to give children a healthy drink with tea and some calories (tapioca is cassava flour; a tuber native to South America).
