Fruits, flowers and well-being: The natural power of fruit herbal teas

Fruit herbal teas are blends made primarily from fruit, though they may also include flowers, bark, and sometimes herbs and roots. They are the ideal choice for a naturally caffeine-free beverage, rich in antioxidants and flavor, which you can enjoy hot or cold—perfect for revitalizing yourself at any time of day.

At EURO TE we classify Fruit Herbal Teas into 2 groups: Classic and Low in acidity.

Classic fruit herbal teas generally include these 3 elements among their ingredients:

  • Jamaica (or hibiscus flower), which gives the herbal tea color and acidity, in addition to its antioxidant, diuretic, anti-inflammatory and digestive properties .
  • Rosehip (or rosehip), which also gives it acidity and an important contribution of vitamin C.
  • Apple (red or yellow), which we usually find dehydrated, provides vitamins and minerals as well as sweetness.

Low-acidity fruit herbal teas do not contain hibiscus or rosehip; they get their color from other ingredients such as beetroot, carrot, or safflower. Their properties vary depending on the ingredients they contain.

In general, the rehydrated fruit in all our Fruit Herbal Teas can be eaten, providing a much more complete nutritional benefit than that obtained from blends where only the infusion is consumed. The properties of each Fruit Herbal Tea are a complex combination of its ingredients.
